A quiet corner of Sicily where time slows down
The Place
There are places that don’t need to be discovered, only remembered.
Pittalumari is one of them. Hidden among fig trees and wild rosemary, perched on a cliff that listens to the sea, this ancient corner of Sicily doesn’t ask to be transformed. It invites you to return to something you may have known all along.
Above it all, the Tower of Isulidda stands watch. Built in the sixteenth century to protect the coast from pirates, today it shelters something softer: silence, sunsets, and shared moments with those who truly matter.
From its feet, the land opens toward the Gulf of Makari. Terraces seem to float between sky and sea. The view embraces Baia Santa Margherita and the Egadi Islands, shifting with the light, the wind, the seasons.
This is not a stage to be set. It is already a story.
In the garden, nothing is manicured. Bougainvillea move with the breeze, lizards sunbathe on warm stones, and trees are shaped by time and salt. In the morning, birdsong. At dusk, cicadas. In the air, the scent of wood smoke. On your lips, the taste of salt before even reaching the sea.
Pittalumari is not a postcard. It’s a living place, with a rhythm of its own.
The architecture is simple. Whitewashed cottages stretch low among the trees, each with a private veranda. Inside, the atmosphere is intimate and warm: Sicilian materials, handmade ceramics, small gestures of care. Nothing superfluous, just what matters.
No noise. No rush. Just the horizon, wide and clear, and the light that paints it, hour after hour.
Every love story is beautiful, but yours is our favorite. Whatever detail you dream of, we’ll take care of it.
The Experience
At Pittalumari, nothing happens in a hurry. Each wedding is the only one. Each couple, the only guests.
There are no back-to-back events, no fixed formulas or set programs. There is only space. Real space, to fill with your time.
When you arrive, the entire property becomes yours. Three private cottages nestled in a Mediterranean garden. A panoramic lawn sloping toward the sea. Stone paths, shaded corners, and a silence that holds you.
There are no main halls or designated routes. The whole estate is an open landscape where every element already belongs to the experience.
You can walk barefoot on the grass, dine under the olive trees, exchange vows on the tower hillsides, or toast with your loved ones as the sun sinks into the gulf.
Every celebration begins well before the ceremony in slow mornings, the scent of herbs in the kitchen, and the feeling of waking up in a place that already feels like home.
You can share the stay with those who matter most, cook dinner together or rely on a private chef, and watch the sea change color every evening. You can offer a welcome drink, a garden brunch, or a candlelit rehearsal dinner.
When the moment comes to say yes, the place will have already welcomed you. The wind, the sea, the light, they’ll have been part of your story all along.
Philosophy
We don’t believe in formulas or rigid structures.
A wedding at Pittalumari is not a staged event. It’s a moment that takes shape with care, presence, and honesty.
The ceremony can last a few minutes or span three days of shared rituals. What matters is not how things look, but how they feel.
Before and After
The beauty of Pittalumari begins long before the ceremony.
Here, the days before the wedding are not just a wait, they are part of the story.
You can cook with your loved ones, walk barefoot in the garden, welcome your guests with a toast, plan an excursion or a dinner under the stars.
And when the celebration ends, you don’t have to leave right away.
You can stay a little longer. Watch the sea change. Breathe.
Services and Rituals
Every celebration at Pittalumari begins with a simple promise: presence, care, and freedom.
You’ll have exclusive use of the entire estate: three cottages immersed in nature, panoramic terraces overlooking the sea, and no other guests. No parallel events. No shared spaces. Just your time, lived to the fullest.
We do not impose suppliers. You’re free to bring your own, or choose among professionals already familiar with the rhythm of this place.
The cottages accommodate up to 20 guests. For others, we can suggest nearby accommodations and organize private transfers upon request.
